Introduction to modern computational cytometry techniques

The aim of this workshop is to introduce the participants to modern computational cytometry techniques. A mixture of theoretical and practical courses will show the participants how to set up a pipeline using the R programming language, including key steps such as data preprocessing and transformation, automated identification of cell populations with the FlowSOM algorithm and differential analysis of sample groups. No previous knowledge of R is assumed.

Target Audience : Cytometrists with experience in multicolor flow cytometry data analysis
Prerequisites : Good working knowledge of data analysis with standard cytometry softwares (eg.: Kaluza, FlowJo, Infinicyt)
Courses objectives : Introduction to modern computational cytometry techniques
Setting up a pipeline using the R programming language, including key steps such as data preprocessing and transformation
Automated identification of cell populations with the FlowSOM algorithm and differential analysis of sample groups.
Costs : Public sector: 200 CHF up to 2 weeks prior to course start (afterwards 250 CHF)
Private sector: the fee for applicants is available upon request
